Tashkent, Feb. 18, 2022. / Kabar /. This year, the Navruz holiday will be held in the country as a national holiday under the motto "Assalom, Navruz - a holiday of renewal and kindness, honor and dignity!" at a high level. This is stated in a resolution signed today by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, UzA news agency reported.
"In the conditions of the New Uzbekistan, when every compatriot, regardless of nationality, language and religion, becomes more and more aware of his rights and interests, honor and dignity, Novruz has become a truly nationwide holiday and is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm," the resolution said.
The Organizing Committee is instructed to ensure the effective implementation of the "Roadmap" measures, as well as the widespread celebration of Navruz as a national holiday in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regional centers and the city of Tashkent, in all districts and towns, villages.
Administrations of the regions and the city of Tashkent have been instructed to ensure that all activities are carried out in strict observance of the quarantine regulations and public safety requirements.
