Tashkent, Aug. 1, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan’s total number of cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection has climbed to 24,304 after 746 new cases were detected Saturday.
According to the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry, over the past 24 hours, 784 cases of recovery from novel coronavirus were registered also, and 5 more virus-related deaths were confirmed.
Quarantine restrictions in the country have been extended until Aug. 15.
In Uzbekistan, 14,464 (59%) people have cured of coronavirus so far, and 142 patients have died. Treatment is provided to 9,697 patients. Of these, 594 patients’ condition assessed as serious, 197 are in extremely serious state.
