Tashkent, April 28, 2021 . / Kabar /. A pilot project on introduction of insurance medicine will be implemented in Syrdarya Region of Uzbekistan from July 2021 until the end of 2022, the press service of the State Health Insurance Fund of the republic reported.
Director of the Fund Farrukh Sharipov noted that the main purpose of this project is a phased introduction of new financial mechanisms in this area, the possibility for the population to receive a guaranteed and high-quality medical care.
The project will include 5 components - improving the delivery of health services, health-care leadership and management, health-care financing, digitalization and project management.
Successful results of the pilot project will be gradually implemented in other regions of the country from 2023.
The State Health Insurance Fund was established by the Decree of President of Uzbekistan in November 2020.
