Uzbekistani chess players getting closer to new goals in Grand Swiss FIDE

Six days of fierce competition at the FIDE Grand Swiss international chess tournament with a prize fund of US$600,000 are over. At the moment, 8 chess players of Uzbekistan managed to score 4.5 points, UzA reported.

The sixth round of the prestigious competition, held in the city of Douglas, Great Britain, was distinguished by a wealth of interesting debates, expected and unexpected results.

It is noteworthy that Uzbekisani Javakhir Sindorov defeated US representative Samuel Sevyan in the 6th round.

Sindorov scored 4.5 points with this victory and, thanks to the odds in the games, rose to 2nd place in the tournament leaderboard. Also, based on the results of yesterday's matches, 7 chess players managed to score 4.5 points.

Among Uzbek talented chess players, Nodirbek Yagubboev played a draw with Vincent Keimer from Germany, Nodirbek Abdusattarov with Chethambaram from India and Shamsiddin Vakhidov with Max Warmerdam from the Netherlands and added half a point to his score.

Thus, Yagubboev has 4 points, Abdusattorov has 3.5 points, Vakhidov continues his participation in the competition.

Based on the results of the 6th round, 8 out of 114 chess players participating in the FIDE Grand Switzerland have 4.5, 12 4, 26 3.5, 27 3, 20 2.5 points. 1 participant participating in the tournament scored only 0.5, and 2 participants scored 1 point.

According to the results of the 6th round of the international women's tournament, Anna Muzychuk from Ukraine is in the lead, gaining 5 points. Competing with her are Rameshbabu Vaishali from India with 4.5 points, Bibisara Asaubaeva from Kazakhstan, Antoaneta Stefanova from Bulgaria and Alexandra Goryachkina from Russia, who competes under the FIDE flag.

November 1, in the 7th round of “Grand Swiss FIDE”, Javakhir Sindorov will fight with Indian Santosh Gujrati Vidat with 4.5 points, Nodirbek Yagubboev with Bogdan-Danil Dyak, Nodirbek Abdusattarov with Evgeniy Nayer from Russia, and Sh.Vakhidov with Bassem Amin.

Among Uzbek chess players, Sindorov will play the 7th round with white pieces, and the rest of them plays with black pieces.
