Uzbekistani Everest climber receives Trailblazer from president

Tashkent, June 8, 2021. / Kabar/. Conqueror of the Everest from Uzbekistan, climber Sergey Denisenko was solemnly handed the badge of honor "Pride of Uzbekistan" and the keys to the new Trailblazer vehicle, press secretary of Uzbek president Sherzod Asadov wrote on his Telegram channel.

On June 1 this year, at 4:45 p.m. Tashkent time Sergey Denisenko hoisted the flag of Uzbekistan over the highest peak of the planet - Mount Everest, the height of which is 8848 meters.

This was the first ascent of Uzbeks on the mountain from Nepal. The expedition lasted about two months.

The ascent of the Uzbekistani was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
