Uzbekistan's confirmed coronavirus cases approaching 19,000

Tashkent, July 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, Uzbekistan registered 455 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infections to 18, 986, the press service of the Health Ministry said Friday.

Also, 277 COVID-19 patients have recovered, 7 new virus - related fatalities were registered.

Additional quarantine restrictions were introduced in Uzbekistan from July 13 to Aug.1.

On July 18, medical organizations of the republic started accepting patients without COVID-19 testing. Ambulance services will also provide assistance to patients without waiting for the coronovirus test results.

In Uzbekistan, 9,872 (53%) people have cured of COVID-19, death toll stands at 103.

Currently, treatment is provided to 8,734 patients, condition of 118 assessed as serious, 30 are in extremely serious state.
