Uzbekistan’s coronavirus cases climb to 17,590

Tashkent, July 21, 2020. /Kabar/. As of July 21, total number of coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan has climbed to 17,590, the press service of the Health Ministry reported Tuesday.

Over the past 24 hours, 594 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the country, 184 people have recovered and 3 coronavirus patients have passed away.

Additional quarantine restrictions were introduced in Uzbekistan from July 13 to Aug.1.

On July 18, medical organizations of the republic started accepting patients without COVID-19 testing. Ambulance services will also provide assistance to patients without waiting for the coronovirus test results.

In Uzbekistan, 9,463 (54%) people have cured of COVID-19, death toll stands at 91.

8,035 Uzbekistanis are receiving treatment, 76 patients’ condition assessed as serious, 28 are in extremely serious condition.
