Uzbekistan’s coronavirus cases surpass 18,500-mark

Tashkent, July 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan confirmed 360 new cases of coronavirus, raising the total number of infections to 18,531.

According to the press service of the Health Ministry, 351 Uzbekistanis have recovered in the past 24 hours and 2 more patients have died.

Additional quarantine restrictions were introduced in Uzbekistan from July 13 to Aug.1.

On July 18, medical organizations of the republic started accepting patients without COVID-19 testing. Ambulance services will also provide assistance to patients without waiting for the coronovirus test results.

In Uzbekistan, 9,872 (53%) people have cured of COVID-19, while death toll stands at 96.

8,560 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals, condition of 100 of them assessed as serious, 27 are in extremely serious state.
