Uzbekistan’s coronavirus cases tally passes 51,700

Tashkent, Sept. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan’s tally of coronavirus cases reached 51,789 on Monday, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.

In the past day, 554 fresh COVID-19 were identified, another 651 patients have recovered, and 6 more have passed away.

As it was reported earlier, starting Oct. 1 Uzbekistan has opened borders, entry and exit through air, railway and automobile check points are allowed, as well as international tourism is permitted.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 47 thousand 932 (93%) Uzbekistanis have cured of novel coronavirus, and the death toll has reached 433.

Currently, treatment is provided to 3 thousand 422 people, 557 are in serious condition, state of 245 assessed as extremely serious.
