Uzbekistan's daily deaths from COVID-19 hit record highs

Tashkent, June 18, 2021 . / Kabar / . In the last 24 hours, 385 people in Uzbekistan were reported to contract novel coronavirus, the press service of the Health Ministry said.

A total number of infections in the republic has reached 105,219, and 101,018 of them, or 96%, have recovered.

In addition, 4 new virus-related fatalities were recorded in Uzbekistan. This is a kind of record for 2021. The last time such figures were recorded in Uzbekistan on Nov. 15, 2020. Thus, the nationwide death toll has climbed to 717.

Earlier it was reported that 90% Tashkent residents and 95% of population in regions do not wear masks. Recently, Uzbekistanis have practically stopped complying with the relevant rules.
