Tashkent, April 20, 2021 . / Kabar / . In January-March 2021, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan has reached $7.1 billion, and decreased by $930.0 million (11.6% down) compared to the same period of 2020, the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics reported.
Of the total volume of foreign trade turnover, exports amounted to $2.4 billion (a decrease of 26.5% compared to January-March 2020), and imports - $4.71 billion (a decline of 1.3%). As a result, the balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to a passive balance of $2.31 billion.
Among the 20 major foreign trade partner countries, there is an active foreign trade balance with six countries, in particular with Afghanistan ($165.1 million), Kyrgyzstan ($104.4 million), Turkey ($93.4 million), Tajikistan ($75.8 million), Canada ($41.0 million) and Iran ($15.8 million). With the remaining 14 countries there is a passive balance of foreign trade turnover.
As of today, Uzbekistan carries out trade relations with 151 countries of the world. The largest volume of foreign trade turnover is recorded with the PRC (20.0%), Russian Federation (18.0%), Kazakhstan (12.2%), Turkey (9.2%), the Republic of Korea (5.7%), Kyrgyzstan (2.6%) and Afghanistan (2.3%).
