Uzbekistan's GDP grew by 5.4% in six months

Tashkent, July 30, 2022 . / Kabar / . Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Uzbekistan in January-June reached $35.27 billion, growth in real terms amounted to 5.4% compared to the same period of 2021, the State Statistics Committee of the republic said.

GDP growth per capita in real terms amounted to 3.3% and increased by about $995 (in the same period of 2021 the growth reached 5.2%, while in 2020 it dropped by -0.9%).

In July, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan revised its macroeconomic forecasts for 2022 - the country's GDP growth is expected to be 5-5.5% per annum, while in April the forecast was 3.5-4.5%.
