Tashkent, Aug. 20, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 20, number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan has reached 37 thousand 366, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.
Over the past 24 hours, 606 new cases were identified throughout the republic, 721 patients have recovered, 5 people have passed away.
Gradual easing of quarantine requirements started in the country on Aug. 15.
Public transport, including the metro, as well as air, car and rail links between regions have been resumed in Tashkent. Requirements have been set for the resumption of various activities, as well as restrictions that will continue to apply.
The mode of "red", "yellow" and "green" zones has been reintroduced. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev demanded that strict discipline should remain the paramount rule for everyone.
Since the outbreak of the virus, a total of 32 thousand 994 (88%) Uzbekistanis have recovered, 250 patients have died.
Treatment is provided to 4,172 patients. Of these, 330 patients’ condition assessed as serious, 96 are in extremely serious state.
