Tashkent, Sept. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10:00 local time Sept. 5, Uzbekistan’s total number of COVID-19 cases has climbed to 43,169, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.
266 new cases were identified over the past 24 hours, 293 patients have cured, and 5 more people died.
Visits to religious institutions were resumed in the country on Sept. 4, and cinemas, theaters and recreation parks, as well as public catering facilities (cafes, restaurants, canteens and teahouses) were reopened on Sept. 5, with strict observance of quarantine security measures.
In Uzbekistan, 40,432 (93%) patients have recovered from the coronavirus in the past period, and 341 have died.
There are 2 396 people undergoing treatment, 368 of them have a severe condition, 179 - critical.
