Uzbekistan’s total number of COVID-19 cases nearing 31,000

Tashkent, Aug. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Total number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 30,820 in Uzbekistan, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry reported Monday.

623 new COVID-19 cases were detected over the past 24 hours, as well as 726 recoveries and 6 more fatalities.

Quarantine restrictions in the country have been extended until Aug. 15. Medical personnel treating patients with coronavirus outside of hospitals will be held accountable. Private medical organizations may be disbarred for violating treatment standards for COVID patients.

In Uzbekistan, 22,000 42 (71%) people have cured of coronavirus, 194 patients have died. Treatment is provided to 8,582 patients. Of these, 1,378 patients’ condition assessed as serious, 386 are in extremely serious state.
