Uzbekistan’s total number of COVID-19 cases surpasses 28,000

Tashkent, Aug. 6, 2020. /Kabar/. On Aug. 6, Uzbekistan’s total number of COVID-19 coronavirus infections has climbed to 28,069, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry reported.

755 new cases were revealed over the past 24 hours, another 732 patients have recovered and 5 more have died.

Uzbekistan has extended quarantine restrictions until Aug. 15. President of the republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to study the possibilities of purchasing COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinating the population.

A total of 18,783 (67%) Uzbekistanis have cured of coronavirus and 173 patients have died. Treatment is provided to 9,113 patients. Of these, 799 patients have a serious condition, 228 are in extremely serious state.
