Bishkek, October 16 / Kabar /. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Sooronbay Jeenbekov on the occasion of his election as the president of Kyrgyzstan, the Kremlin press service reported.
"The head of the Russian state stressed that the results of the vote confirmed the high authority that S.Jeenbekov enjoys among his compatriots, and testify to the recognition of his merits in resolving urgent issues of the social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan," the report said.
Putin also noted that Russia highly values Jeenbekov's personal contribution to strengthening strategic partnership and alliance between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. The Russian Head of State expressed his confidence that by joint efforts the countries will ensure further building of bilateral ties, as well as constructive interaction within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and other international structures, that "meets the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of our countries, is in the mainstream of strengthening regional stability and security."
S.Jeenbekov has won an Sunday's presidentioal election with the 54% votes resul.
