Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. Residents of the country are actively receiving vaccines against influenza and acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI). This became known during a meeting of the Republican Headquarters on COVID-19.

“At the moment, the entire first batch of vaccine imported into the country has been used. First of all, it is necessary to carry out timely work to vaccinate vulnerable categories of citizens. Now is the season of influenza and ARVI, therefore, we need to complete the vaccination process as soon as possible,” he said adding that the second batch of vaccine will arrive soon.

The head of government also reminded about the importance of being prepared for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

“The cold is coming. This means that the number of citizens with seasonal colds and flu will increase. It is important to analyze the available drug stocks. Work directly with the leaders of the pharmacy chains for the availability of the necessary medicines in the warehouses. At the same time, work is underway to replenish the stocks of medicines in the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. All medicines must be available and in sufficient quantities,” the prime minister summed up.

Kubatbek Boronov also recalled the need to organize additional beds in the event of a second wave of coronavirus infection.
