Osh, March 29, 2021 . / Kabar / . The first stage of vaccination against coronavirus infection has started Monday in the city of Osh, the press service of the city’s Mayor’s Office reported.
Deputy Osh Mayor Emil Shadykhanov familiarized with beginning of the vaccination.
At the 1st stage, Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health and Social Development plans to vaccinate medical workers with a high and very high risk of infection, working in the red zone, family medical gropus; medical workers of emergency ambulances, intensive care units with a high risk of developing severe forms of illness or death; employees of educational organizations, employees of law enforcement and security agencies.
Mukaram Monduyeva, the chief physician of the branch No. 1 of the Family Member Center of the Osh city said that 300 doses of Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine arrived, and 150 people will be vaccinated at the first stage.
"We received 300 units of Sinopharm, a single-dose vaccine made in China. However, there is no need to be afraid to get vaccinated - the vaccine has been tested by the WHO, and I note that China is currently one of the most developed countries. First of all, the vaccine will be given to people who work with large numbers of people (medics, teachers, border guards, policemen, etc.),” Monduyeva noted.
As part of the vaccination campaign, a number of heads of Osh health-care organizations were vaccinated.
In Kyrgyzstan, the first phase of vaccination against coronavirus infection started on March 29.
People will be vaccinated on a voluntary basis with the Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine. It will be carried twice with an interval of 25-28 days.
