Vaccinations of pilgrims traveling to Mecca carried out in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 2, 2022. /Kabar/. Work on vaccination of pilgrims going to Mecca in 2022 began in Kyrgyzstan on May 26, the Health Ministry of the republic said.

Thus, in order to implement the order "On the organization of medical and sanitary care for pilgrims going to Mecca in 2022," the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis, regional immunologists and inoculation nurses are vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition, vaccinations against influenza and meningitis are given to pilgrims.

According to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, 2,766 quotas have been allocated this year to take part in Hajj.

Following are main requirements for obtaining a visa for leaving for Hajj pilgrims:

1. to be under 65 years of age;

2. to have a vaccination against COVID-19;

3 to have a negative test certificate for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours prior to entry.
