Vegetable oil prices continue to rise in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 2, 2021 . / Kabar / . As of June 30 this year, sunflower oil prices averaged KGS 181.77 per kg and increased by 2.6% compared to the previous month, while cotton oil prices made KGS 176.26 per kg and increased by 3.8%.

The National Statistics Committee of the republic reported that the retail prices of sunflower oil in Isfana (KGS 190.01 per kg) and Jalal-Abad (KGS 189.07 per kg) exceeded the national average. The lowest prices were recorded in Uzgen (KGS 163.59 per kg), Kara-Balta (KGS 163.97 per kg) and Talas (KGS 167.24 per kg).

The highest increase in prices for sunflower oil compared to the previous month was recorded in Jalal-Abad - by 6.3%, Talas - by 4.9%, Toktogul - by 4.3%.

Cottonseed oil retail prices exceeded the average national indicator in Tokmok town - 198.88 som/kg, Jalal-Abad - 187.38 som/kg, Isfana - 183.90 som/kg and Toktogul - 178.93 som/kg; and the minimum prices for it were recorded in Talas town - 157.74 som/kg, Kara-Suu - 157.76 som/kg and Pokrovka village - 163.88 som/kg.

The maximum increase in prices for cotton oil in June compared to May was recorded in Kerben (by 10.9%), Talas (by 9.7%) and Jalal-Abad (by 7.2%).
