Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2024 /Kabar/. There are only 29 veterinary control points throughout the country, of which 18 points are at the state border, 4 temporary storage points, 5 points at railway stations and 2 points at international airports, Deputy Director of the Veterinary Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sharapov told at a press conference at Kabar Agnecy.
According to him, over the 12 months of 2023, the following items were exported and imported:
Export
Cattle - 73 thousand 905 heads, small cattle - 116 thousand 540 heads, horses - 4 thousand 996 heads, dairy products - 45 thousand 910.2 tons, sausages - 867.6 tons, fish products -5 thousand 556 .4 tons, cattle skins 471 thousand 133 pieces, natural honey 439 tons to third countries and EAEU countries.
Import
Cattle - 26 thousand 292 heads, small cattle - 940 heads, horses - 7 311 heads, fish and fish products - 8 thousand 248.3 tons, poultry meat 65 085.9 tons, eggs 192 million 644 thousand 780 pieces, dairy products 14,752.7 tons, cattle skins 104 thousand 400 pieces, animal and bird feed 50 021 tons and fish food 12 thousand 941.5 tons.
“Over the 12 months of 2023, 70 violations were identified at the border veterinary control points during the import process, reports were drawn up and were returned. Of these, there are 54 return acts to Kazakhstan, 15 to Uzbekistan, and 1 return act to China,” he informed.
