Vice mayor: First batch of eco-buses to arrive in Bishkek in July

The first batch of 350 gas-powered buses will arrive in Bishkek in July, as part of a memorandum of cooperation between the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the Uzbek company Eco Passenger Transportation, Vice Mayor of Bishkek for urban transport Ruslanbek Akylbekov told at a press conference.

He said that earlier, the first delivery (350 buses) was planned in June, but there was a delay in the delivery of gas components for buses. “Currently, delivery is scheduled for July,” he said.

The vice mayor also added that the buses will be delivered to the capital by outsourcing within the framework of the memorandum.

Earlier, within the framework of the memorandum, it was planned that during 2022-2023, Eco Passenger Transportation will provide up to 1,000 units of environmentally friendly Japanese ISUZU buses of Uzbek production running on gas engine fuel. Including 9, 10 and 12-meter buses adapted for passengers with disabilities.

In addition, as it is known, the Bishkek Mayor's Office plans to purchase eco-buses for ADB grant funds.
