Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2020 / Kabar /. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aida Ismailova met with a medical expert group from the People’s Republic of China, which arrived in the country on Apr.20, the government’s press service said.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Chief of the President’s Office the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Kenenbaev, Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen.
From the moment of arrival in the country, the expert group visited the disease prevention department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, where they got acquainted with the organization’s work and shared knowledge and experience in laboratory diagnostics, an identification algorithm, isolation of close contacts, and epidemiological methods research used in China.
In addition, the expert group visited the Republican Center for Quarantine and Highly Infectious Diseases, where they discussed with the local experts preventive measures for coronavirus infection, anti-epidemic and disinfection measures. Specialists shared China's experience in combating COVID-19 and answered questions of Kyrgyz doctors.
Also, online seminars were organized for medical specialists of the Kyrgyz Republic on topics related to the prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection.
More than 700 people took part in the online seminars.
The Kyrgyz medical workers gained practical knowledge about a new type of coronavirus infection and got acquainted with successful experience in the fight and prevention of coronavirus infection in China.
