Bishkek, Mar. 15, 2019. /Kabar/. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova met Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid on the margins of the 63rd session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, the press service of the Government Office reported.
During the meeting, Omurbekova praised the relations between the two countries, and also congratulated the President of Estonia on the successful holding of parliamentary elections on March 3, 2019.
Omurbekova thanked for the assistance provided by the Estonian side in the implementation of e-government in the Kyrgyz Republic.
For her part, Kaljulaid thanked the Kyrgyz side for supporting the candidacy of Estonia for non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2020-2021.
In turn, the Vice Prime Minister informed about the nomination of the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Executive Board of UNESCO for 2019-2023 and asked to support the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, Omurbekova noted that the Kyrgyz side is interested in the Estonian experience in developing the health insurance system and in managing health organizations, in particular in implementing e-health, and asked for expert support in their implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides also discussed the prospects for further cooperation in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
