Vice speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament discusses with KOICA representative digitalization of parliament

Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2024. / Kabar/. Vice Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Azygaliev met today with Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Kyrgyzstan Kyungju Phe, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

Opening the meeting, Nurlanbek Azygaliev thanked the KOICA representatives for fruitful cooperation and spoke about the trip of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Parliament to Korea.

"We had constructive meetings with Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Ju Hoeng, as well as with KOICA Vice President Hong Seok-hwa, where topical issues of our partnership were discussed in detail. It is gratifying that over the past five years, relations between Kyrgyzstan and Korea have reached a new stage of development, with regular meetings and negotiations at a high level,” he emphasized.

Speaking about the agreement between the Zhogorku Kenesh and KOICA on the digitalization of the work of parliament in the amount of 8 million 400 thousand US dollars, Nurlanbek Azygaliev noted that the implementation of this project, within the framework of which work is already actively underway, will make a great contribution not only to the development of parliamentarism in Kyrgyzstan, but also to strengthening cooperation between the two states as a whole. He noted that the Jogorku Kenesh is open to dialogue and is ready to discuss and resolve all emerging issues.

In turn, Kengzhu Phe thanked Nurlanbek Azygaliev for the meeting and the opportunity to promptly discuss current issues that arise within the framework of the digitalization of the Jogorku Kenesh. “It is important for us that the project is implemented efficiently and on time,” she said.

Then the parties discussed all working issues on the implementation of the project.
