Village for ethnic Kyrgyz from Afghanistan to be built in Chon-Alai region

Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2021 / Kabar /. A settlement for ethnic Kyrgyz from Afghanistan, immigrants from the Small and Big Pamirs, will be built in Chon-Alai region of Osh Oblast, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov told at a press conference.

He said that the settlement will be designed for 350 families.

"The construction of the settlement is scheduled for April - May 2021," he said.

The head of state also stressed that currently Kyrgyzstan does not have such large funds to fully move and provide all ethnic Kyrgyz. However, within the framework of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On state guarantees for ethnic Kyrgyz resettling in the Kyrgyz Republic", the state will provide everything necessary.

In addition, the president instructed to provide textbooks in Kyrgyz for ethnic Kyrgyz living in other countries.
