Astana, June 10 / Kabar/. Pavilion of Kyrgyzstan has been opened at EXPO 2017 in the Kazakh capital of Astana.
Chairman of the Trade and Industry Chamber of Kyrgyzstan Marat Sharshekeyev told Kabar Agency that the pavilion of Kyrgyzstan is not very big, but aroused interest of visitors. “On 35 square meters we tried to expose all the information about Kyrgyzstan. We present our culture, history, tourism, energy sector on electronic boards in three languages: Kyrgyz, Russian and English,” he said.
These videos is about water recourses, hydropower plants, about the huge potential of Kyrgyzstan.
“Currently, Czech side expressed interest in small hydropower plants of Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
Sharshekeyev also said that not only adults, but also children come to the exhibition. “Therefore, we present our ancestors’ clothes, national products, carpets and others to familiarize the new generation with Kyrgyz traditions and culture,” he said.
The chairman of the Trade Chamber also told about the plans. “Every country has its own national holiday. Kyrgyzstan will celebrate it on August 31. On this day Kyrgyzstan will organize a big event at the pavilion. We will organize a concert and present out national dishes,” he said.
He also added now visitors are just simple citizens, after one week here will come experts, who are interested in investing to discuss everything in detail.
Representatives of 115 countries and 22 international organizations presented guests the technology of the future.
EXPO-2017 in Astana is the first large-scale international exhibition held on the territory of the former Soviet Union. It will last three months and will conclude its work on September 10, 2017.
