Bishkek, July 11, 2023. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, the volume of industrial production in January-June 2023 amounted to KGS 207 billion, First Deputy Chairwoman of the National Statistics Committee of the republic Nazira Kerimalieva told a briefing.
The specialist noted that compared to January-June 2022, it increased by 0.4% due to increased volumes in textile production, production of clothing and footwear, leather and leather goods (by 38.5%), pharmaceutical (by 26.4%) and chemical (by 22.0%) products, wooden and paper products, printing activities (by 19.8%), rubber, plastic products and construction materials (by 16.9%), food (including beverages) and tobacco products (by 10.0%), as well as in mining (by 6.1%).
Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 11.2 percent, agriculture - 2.5 percent, wholesale and retail trade - 17.8 percent.
