Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2024. / Kabar/. The volume of industrial output in January-July 2024 amounted to 280.4 billion soms and increased by 0.8% compared to January-July 2023, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Zainidin Zhumaliyev said.
According to him, the indicator increased due to the growth in the production of refined petroleum products by 1.7 times, wood and paper products, printing activities by 31.7%, food products (including beverages) and tobacco products by 20%, pharmaceutical products by 20.8%, rubber, plastic products and building materials by 10.3%, as well as in textile production and clothing production by 7.2%.
He noted that positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 43.3%, wholesale and retail trade - 33.0%, and also in agriculture - 6.6%.
