Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2024 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, the volume of industrial production in January-October 2024 amounted to more than KGS 453 billion, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the republic Bakytbek Shokenov said at a briefing in Bishkek.
Thus, the indicator increased by 5.3% (compared to the same period of last year) due to growth in the production of refined petroleum products (1.8 times), wood and paper products, printing activities by 32.0%, food (including beverages) and tobacco products by 22%, pharmaceutical products by 16.6%, in textile and clothing production by 14%, as well as rubber, plastic products and construction materials by 9.3%.
Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 35.3%, wholesale and retail trade - 19%, as well as in agriculture - 6.1%.
