Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2020 / Kabar /. The volume of industrial production in January-August 2020 amounted to more than KGS 205 billion, the National Statistics Committee reported.
According to the committee, this indicator, compared to January-August last year, increased by 0.1 percent due to an increase in the production of pharmaceutical products by 2.5 times, chemical products by 17.9 percent, production of basic metals and finished metal products, except for machinery and equipment - by 11.6 percent.
The negative trends were observed in construction, where a decrease in volumes amounted to 7.8 percent, wholesale and retail trade - 17.2 percent, while in agriculture, on the contrary, there was an increase in volumes by 1.8 percent.
