Bishkek, March 10, 2022 . / Kabar /. In January-February 2022, the volume of industrial production amounted to more than KGS 47 billion and increased by 1.5% in comparison with the same period last year, Chinara Turdubaeva, the head of the Department of Summary Works, Communications and Distribution of Statistical Information of the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan told during a press conference in Bishkek on Thursday.
She said that the decrease was due to the reduction of production of chemical products (by 11%), rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products (by 9%), basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (by 1.4%), as well as mining of minerals (by 1.6%).
Turdubaeva noted that positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 1.9%, agriculture - 2%, wholesale and retail trade - 6.3%.
