Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2021. / Kabar /. According to some reports, the shadow economy in Kyrgyzstan is approximately KGS 300 billion, Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service Bekbolot Aliyev told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that according to the official data of the National Statistical Committee, now the size of the shadow economy in the country is about 20-24% of GDP.
“But, according to other financial institutions, the size of the shadow economy is almost 40%, which is about KGS 300 billion,” he said.
