Bishkek, July 28, 2020. /Kabar./ Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met Tuesday with volunteers from the Youth Initiative Centre, which actively help citizens during the coronavirus pandemic, the Parliament's press service reported.
Dzhumabekov expressed gratitude to the volunteers for their invaluable contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection.
"In such a difficult time for the state, you showed courage, solidarity, mutual help and support. You are heroically fighting for the lives of our citizens, for every minute of their lives," the speaker noted.
For their part, the volunteers thanked the speaker for the attention, and informed him about the activity of the Youth Initiative Centre.
During the talk, Speaker Dzhumabekov noted the volunteers do a hard work, they face not only physical but also psychological load.
Many volunteers need to recover their strength. In this regard, he provided vouchers for 20 volunteers in the Jogorku Kenesh’s Altyn-Kul boarding house.
In conclusion, Dzhumabekov emphasized that the Jogorku Kenesh is always open for cooperation and ready to consider new initiatives. Volunteers were also presented with memorable gifts.
