Voting at local councils elections taking place in Kyrgyzstan’s Batken

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2024 . / Kabar / . Polling stations have opened in Batken Oblast and voting has started.

Batken Oblast Governor Abdikarim Alimbaev voted in the elections of deputies of local councils, the Batken Oblast state administration said.

The total number of voters in the oblast is 345 thousand 468 people.

A total of 219 polling stations have been opened and started their work.

In Batken Oblast, elections are held in 22 aiyl and 6 city keneshs.

Local authorities have provided all the necessary conditions at polling stations: electricity, Internet connection and heating.

Police officers, veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and people's vigilantes are involved to ensure public safety and prevent violations of the law.
