Waste-to-energy plant at Bishkek landfill to be completed by end of 2025

Bishkek, Nov.3, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov familiarized with the progress of construction of an eco-technological plant for the production of electricity on the territory of the Bishkek Sanitary Landfill municipal enterprise.

The plant is expected to produce electricity by processing solid domestic waste.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a station for waste utilization up to 3,000 tons per day with electricity generation.

The total investment in the project will amount to about USD 95 million. The construction of the plant is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.
