WB allocates $100 million towards development of three Uzbek cities

The project will contribute to the development of urban infrastructure, public places and municipal services in the cities of Uzbekistan, starting with the cities of Chartak, Kagan and Yangiyul.

The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) set to provide a $100 million worth loan to finance the "Integrated development of medium-sized cities" project. It was approved by the Board of Directors of the World Bank on December 18.

The project will contribute to the development of urban infrastructure, public places and municipal services in the cities of Uzbekistan, starting with the cities of Chartak, Kagan and Yangiyul.
