Bishkek, Aug. 16, 2020 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Mademin Karataev answered today whether there will be a second wave of coronavirus infection and when to expect it.

“Nobody can give guarantee and say that there will be a second wave or not. Also, no one guarantees that people who have had coronavirus and acquired antibodies will not get sick again. We are more afraid of another question, that other seasonal respiratory diseases will begin in the autumn-winter period, and we are very concerned about what kind of “bouquet” comes from COVID-19 and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI)," said Karataev at a briefing.

Nevertheless, the deputy minister noted that in any case, the country is carrying out all the work to prepare for a possible second wave of coronavirus.
