Bishkek, Feb.20, 2020. /Kabar/. "We attach particular importance to supporting the country's export potential," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.

The President addressed on Thursday the session of the Parliament.

He noted 19 veterinary and 4 phytosanitary laboratories were put into operation in order to create necessary conditions for exporting domestic products.

Over the past two years, the number of Kyrgyz enterprises included in the Unified Registry of the Eurasian Economic Union for the production, storage and export of goods, related to veterinary control has reached 114.

Compared to 2018, their number increased by 47 enterprises.

"In 2019, the veterinary control system of the Kyrgyz Republic was recognized as equivalent by other EAEU countries. Since 2007, there has been a ban on the import of meat from our country into Russia, which has now been lifted. Now our producers can freely export their livestock products to Russia and the EAEU countries," he said.

According to the Kyrgyz leader, a special program for export development was adopted.

"Last year the volume of export of agricultural products grew by 24.5%. As a result of the support of local entrepreneurs, the geography of exports is steadily expanding.

For example, our entrepreneurs have started exporting their products to China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan and other countries," the President said, and noted that within the framework of cooperation it has become possible to export meat products, honey and skimmed milk powder to China.

The Unified Register of the People’s Republic of China includes 13 dairy and 4 honey producing enterprises of Kyrgyzstan.

Today, Feb. 20, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov attended the session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament).

At the Parliament session, new members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic took the oath.

President Jeenbekov to addressed the session of the Parliament, where he focused on current issues of the country's development and strengthening harmony in society.

Note that in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the President in entitled to address the session of the Jogorku Kenesh.
