We highly value the results of the development of our relations – Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Mar. 13, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen gave an assessment of the Kyrgyz-Chinese relations and told in what direction they will be built in the future.

After presenting her credentials to Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov on the occasion of the start of her new diplomatic mission, she shared that she had already managed to look through quite a lot of publications in the media regarding relations between the two countries.

“I see a great interest of journalists in the relations between China and Kyrgyzstan. I have just presented the credentials to the President of Kyrgyzstan and had a very friendly conversation with him. We highly value the results of the development of our relations. Now they have the status of a comprehensive strategic partnership,” the diplomat said.

She said that the meeting with the President was held in a friendly atmosphere and allowed to discuss important issues of a bilateral nature.

“Mr. President promised that the government and the people of Kyrgyzstan will support and help me in my work. In turn, I assured him that, while serving as ambassador, I will make every effort to strengthen friendship between the peoples of our countries and stimulate strategic cooperation. All this will be done for the benefit of both the Kyrgyz and Chinese peoples,” the ambassador shared.

She pointed out that the cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan concerns many industries, and the sides intend to continue to work together on the initiated projects.

“We will continue to work on those facilities where it is already underway. These include the construction of roads in Bishkek, the work of the CHP plant and the construction of a road connecting the north with the south. We are completing the construction of a hospital in the city of Osh. Now there is a hand-over process. With the beginning of its work, it will become the largest and most modern hospital in Central Asia,” the ambassador voiced.

She also said that the Chinese side is carefully studying the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan road, and it’s too early to comment on this.
