Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 / Kabar /. We need to conduct a dialogue and consultations with the Afghan government for the earliest possible stabilization of the situation in the country, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Taalatbek Masadykov told speaking at the international expert conference "The countries of Central Asia in new geopolitical conditions against the background of the situation in Afghanistan."
Masadykov noted that Afghanistan needs humanitarian support from the entire world to stabilize the situation in the country. He also noted that during the humanitarian mission to Afghanistan, he noticed a discrepancy between the real state of affairs and the information provided in the media regarding security in the country.
“Although Kyrgyzstan is not a wealthy country, it has provided humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan and the Kyrgyz living in the small and large Pamirs. It should be noted that the information provided in some media does not correspond to reality. When we were there recently, I noticed that women do not wear cloaks, they wear ordinary headscarves and scarves, some wear masks, some do not. Schools are working. The difference is that now girls and boys study separately. In addition, a colleague from UN came to my hotel at 10 p.m. unaccompanied. That is, in terms of security, the situation is now much better than it was before,” Masadykov said.
