Bishkek, Mar. 28, 2019. /Kabar/. A meeting of the Kyrgyz and Russian delegations has started at Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek within the first state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan.

The dialogue of the sides was opened by head of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov. First of all, he noted the ongoing development of bilateral relations in the economic, military-technical and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

“We are expanding and deepening our cooperation in trade, industry, transport and integration. Military and military-technical cooperation is developing steadily,” Jeenbekov began.

He also expressed gratitude for another assistance to the armed forces of Kyrgyzstan and the re-decision on the introduction of a “migration amnesty” for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the territory of the Russian Federation.

“This is great support for our compatriots in Russia. At a meeting in a narrow format, we have reached mutual understanding on all issues. Thanks to you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, our initiatives have found support,” the head of Kyrgyzstan added.

The state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Bishkek began today. Sooronbay Jeenbekov welcomed him at Manas International Airport. The official welcoming ceremony was held at the state residence. It was carried out under the updated protocol and has been held for the first time. Then the sides proceeded to the negotiating table.
