Bishkek, Aug. 30, 2024. / Kabar/. We set ourselves an ambitious goal - to reach a GDP of $30 billion by 2030, President Sadyr Zhaparov told today at the opening of the Terek-Tash clinker plant in the Kemin district.
He said that Kyrgyzstan's economic growth demonstrates stable development - the average growth rate of the gross domestic product over the past three years has not fallen below 7%.
"And for the period from January to July 2024, the economic growth rate reached 8.7%, amounting to 677 billion soms. The country's budget has shown significant growth, doubling over the past three years. In 2020, the country's consolidated budget amounted to 247.7 billion soms, and in 2023, budget resources reached 577.2 billion soms. I am confident that by the end of 2024 we will exceed the 650 billion soms mark. In addition, to ensure the country's sustainable development in the long term, we set ourselves an ambitious goal - to reach a GDP of 30 billion US dollars by 2030," the head of state noted.
