Bishkek, Aug.1, 2020. /Kabar/. "We will ensure that the digitalization process covers all areas that provide public services to the population," President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today, Aug. 1, in another interview with Birinchi Radio of Public Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He noted that the main goal of the country's full digitalization policy over the past two years is to reduce the human factor and corruption elements in the provision of public services.
As part of this policy, special attention is paid to the full digitalization of the spheres that cover a wide range of population: education, healthcare, tax, customs and social services.
"Our country, of course, got involved in this process a little late, but over the past two years we have managed to make significant progress, tangible for our citizens. In the future, the digitalization policy will be under my personal control. This is one of the main directions of my presidency," Jeenbekov noted.
The Kyrgyz leader emphasized the coronavirus pandemic has accelerated the digitalization of the education system - the learning process has been completely switched to a distance format.
The head of state added that according to the information, provided by minister of education and science, the first quarter of the academic year is planned to start with distance learning, and then make a decision based on the real situation.
At the same time, Jeenbekov noted that the digitalization of the healthcare system will be strengthened.
"We must rid our citizens of the bureaucratic red tape when drawing up documents, for example, when obtaining a birth certificate of a child, when buying or registering property, etc.. The human factor must be eliminated. This, as I noted earlier, will receive special attention," the head of state stressed.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov also touched upon the digitalization of the personnel selection system for state and municipal services.
