This year, the Iranian embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic intends to hold a number of events in Kyrgyzstan to strengthen cultural and humanitarian relations, as well as to develop cooperation in the field of education. Ambassador of Iran to Kyrgyzstan Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani told about plans for 2018 during the meeting with journalists on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He said that last year there was an intensification of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian direction.
"We intend to continue this work. Soon, Kyrgyzstan will host a week of Iranian cinema. Plans also include holding round tables on various topics. We constantly invite Kyrgyz experts to participate in various events in Iran and we want to continue this practice," the ambassador said.
He also said that cooperation has been established between the two states in scientific and educational spheres, which is evidenced by joint work between universities and research centers.
"We also plan to organize a trip of women activists from Kyrgyzstan to Iran and intend to organize reciprocal visits of media representatives of our countries. In this direction, we will conduct courses in various subjects. The plans also include the allocation of grant places for students of Kyrgyzstan for training in Iranian universities," the head of the diplomatic mission said.
He added that last year the Iranian side provided technical support to some universities in Kyrgyzstan, and further there are all grounds and prerequisites for continuing such cooperation, as well as cooperation in library activities.
