Weightlifters of Kyrgyzstan take part in World Championship among juniors in Tashkent

Tashkent, May 29, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz athletes take part in the world junior weightlifting championship in the capital of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.

At the junior championship, Kyrgyzstan is represented by Elzar Tairov (in weight up to 61 kg) and Ishimbek Muratbek uulu (in weight up to 67 kg).

In the qualifying round, Kyrgyz athletes achieved the following results: Tairov - 237 (107 + 130) kg, Muratbek uulu - 273 (116 + 157) kg.

244 athletes from 53 states take part in the Tashkent World Cup. This is the qualifying event for the Tokyo Olympics.

The competition will last until May 31 this year.
