What Kyrgyz President wished to teachers from CIS countries?

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov delivered a welcoming speech today at the opening of the 5th Congress of Teachers and Education Workers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

In his speech, he noted that today the education system in the countries of the delegations came from needs a new model that will respond to the challenges of the time and will allow us to continue to actively integrate in the exchange of experience and best practices.

“New tasks that have arisen before our countries cannot be solved on the basis of the existing education systems. We need new approaches, new ideas, new projects. For the passage of new paths of development, we need a joint search, general discussions, sincere aspirations to share best practices,” Jeenbekov said.

He expressed the belief that today's congress of teachers of the CIS, as teachers of the once united country, will be devoted to such joint searches and solutions to contemporary problems.

“I hope that here, in the land of the great enlightener of the past, Jusup Balasagyn, who has found wise answers to the challenges of time, you will draw inspiration from his legacy for the fruitful work of the congress,” the President added.

He also mentioned that this year the whole world celebrates the 90th anniversary of famous writer and humanist Chyngyz Aitmatov.

“I believe that here, in the homeland of the character from his story The First Teacher, new approaches will be found to address the issues that life poses for our education systems,” Jeenbekov said.

At the end of his speech, he wished the participants of the Congress creative success and noble activity, as well as health and good luck in all matters.
