Bishkek, Mar.13, 2020. /Kabar/. The cheapest gasoline among some countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is still in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan said on Friday.
Gasoline AI-92 in Kazakhstan costs KGS 28 (about $ 0.35), in Kyrgyzstan-KGS 39.3 (about $ 0.54), in Russia- KGS 44.8 (about $ 0.61), in Tajikistan-KGS 56.3 (about $ 0.77), in Uzbekistan –KGS 52.6 (about $ 0.72), in Belarus-KGS 53.2 (about $ 0.72) and in Armenia-KGS 32.9 (about $ 0.45).
The cheapest diesel also in Kazakhstan- KGS 27.6 (about 0.38), in Kyrgyzstan-KGS 44.3 (about $ 0.61), in Russia –KGS 49.4 (about $ 0.68), in Tajikistan-KGS 57.7 (about $ 0.79), in Uzbekistan- KGS 58.4 (about $ 0.80), in Belarus- KGS 56.3 (about $ 0.77), in Armenia –KGS 65.9 (about $ 0.90).
The amounts were converted at the official rate of Kyrgyzstan’s National Bank.
According to the rating on GlobalPetrolPrices.com, Kyrgyzstan is in 22nd place (out of 181 countries) by the cost of gasoline.
At the same time, according to this rating, Kyrgyzstan ranks first by the cheapness of fuel among import-dependent countries.
All other countries in the top 20 are oil producers and exporters.
For example, these are Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Iran, Kazakhstan, Nigeria and other countries.
The average cost of gasoline in the world is $1.12 per liter.
