Bishkek, June 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . During a press conference at Kabar News Agency, Director of the Organic Agriculture Department of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Agriculture Baktygul Askeraliyeva told about organic products grown in the republic.
She said that organic apricots are grown in Batken, and medicinal herbs in Issyk-Kul Oblast.
"In the south it is also planned to start growing organic almonds and pistachios. There are also plans to grow grapes in the foothills in Issyk-Kul and Chui Oblasts, and beans, plums in Talas.
In addition, an organic cotton is grown in Jalal-Abad, and Issyk-Kul exports medicinal herbs to Germany.
Askeraliyeva added that an export agreement has been signed with Spain and Issyk-Kul.
